Hajja Salesjana

On September 8th, 2022, I made my first profession as a Salesian of Don Bosco—a moment of profound grace that marked the beginning of my commitment to this beautiful vocation. Although two years have now passed, I still treasure the memory of that day. It was the start of a journey that has been filled with enriching experiences and countless blessings. With the steadfast support of God, Mary Help of Christians, and my confreres, I have been able to complete my philosophy studies and post-novitiate formation whilst being given the opportunity to teach Religion and PSCD at Savio College. During this time, I’ve had the chance to contribute beyond the classroom. I’ve been helping to run the school’s Facebook page, capturing and archiving school events through photography, and accompanying our educators and students on special outings, such as the Year 8 trip to Sicily. I am deeply thankful to the school leadership team and my Superiors for their trust and for allowing me to grow through these opportunities to serve in the classroom and in the playground during breaks. The past year has also given me the opportunity to engage more deeply with the Sliema Oratory, particularly with the Juniors Salesjani. Together with the core team— Brother Geoffrey, Selena Mallia, Kirk Cauchi, Zack Attard Biancardi, Mireille Bonnici, and Kristina Sammut—I have been involved in planning and implementing a range of special events for the children, including sports competitions, swimming activities, My Salesian journey so far... by Br.
