Once there, we lived and touched the Don Bosco reality, the commitment towards young people, the joy and serenity that the Salesian community brings and the devotion and love towards our Mother help of Christians. 17 5. Who is Don Bosco for you and what strikes you most about him? His courage and faith in the providence of God and his beloved Mother Mary always struck us. Don Bosco is a point of reference for all of us young and old, even after so many years since his death. His holiness based on charity, purity, and love for the young made him the Saint that we all should follow, learn and talk about with others. The many examples throughout his life are inspirational for us to follow daily with our common encounters at work, while shopping, having fun and above all in our prayers. 4. Is there a phrase or a sentence from Don Bosco that inspires you in your life? "Sanctity is easy!" Don Bosco used to say to his youths. That’s a tough one! But Don Bosco’s message was simple; No need to do extraordinary things, but to do our daily duties in simplicity, with love and for the glory of God. Be happy and rejoice in the love of God and we’ll gain holiness. 6. What message would you like to pass on to the readers of Ħajja Salesjana? Don Bosco’s teachings are simple and practical; if we wish to be happy and make others feel the same way, it would be wise to walk in the footsteps of Saint John Bosco. He gives us courage to walk the talk throughout all our endeavours.
