Photo by Neom - Unsplash.com On Saturday, 13th April 2024 at the magnificent St. John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta, a past pupil of Savio College, Johan Buġeja from Għargħur, was ordained deacon together with three other young men, one from Malta, another one from Singapore and another one from India. All together they were a true representation of the Church today. All were ordained by H. E. The Archbishop of Malta, Charles J. Scicluna. As a local Salesian family we indeed rejoice at this momentous occasion for Johan and his family. A new Salesian Deacon for the Maltese Salesian Family Presently Johan, an avid athlete, is finalising his Theology studies in Maynooth Ireland. He will return to Malta in May 2024 and will then join the local Maltese Salesian Vice Province offering his myriad gifts and qualities to the young people he will be working with. While we wish Johan every good wish and blessing, we encourage other young people to emulate his trail blazing example, take the leap of faith, trust God and let go in Him, knowing that with our ‘yes’ and with our little contribution to His Kingdom, He 20 April-Ġunju 2024 hajja
