New Maltese Salesian Provincial Fr. Eric Cachia sdb, past pupil of Savio College, will be taking over the reins from Fr. Paul Formosa, our present Superior, as his term comes to a close in August 2024. In his Salesian apostolic ministry, amongst other things, Fr. Cachia has worked for 6 years as Director of the Sliema Youth Centre, was Head of School for five years at Savio College, Headmaster at St. Patrick’s for 6 years and Rector at St. Patrick’s for the past seven years. He has also been the Maltese Provincial Economer for a number of years and is a practicing warranted Family Therapist. We wish Fr. Eric every blessing as he embarks on this new chapter in his life, going deeper into the service of authority, as he takes the helm of the fledgling Maltese Salesian Vice Province. May Mary Help of Christians be his guidance, teacher and consolation and may the Good Shepherd always be His bulwark and shield. On the 12th December 2023, feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, with the consent of the members of his Council, appointed Rev. Fr. Eric Cachia sdb, as second Superior of the Maltese Salesian Vice Province of "Mary Help of Christians" for the next six-year period of 2024-2030. DO NOT BE TROUBLED..
