15 H AJJA S ALESJANA made sure that all the different teams were working cohesively, in order to avoid any unnecessary clashes or misunderstandings which might have occurred due to the large amount of coordinators. For the first two months of rehearsals, all of the different groups started working on their respective disciplines separately, however, when the end of September 2018 finally arrived, we were faced with the challenge of bringing the various groups together. This took a lot of patience and hard-work from all involved, and after a few bumps in the road, we were finally there –with an audience of over 500 people over two days, all waiting to experience what we had worked so hard for. I can safely say that the final Production was a complete success, and all the participants worked together to give two stunning performances! During these 13 years working with the Salesians, I’ve built many friendships and had many different experiences - this one was no different! Being my directorial debut just made this experience all the more special to me, as the theatre has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I feel especially grateful to have been involved in the project from its inception, both as part of the Script-Writing Team, as well as the Director, and as part of the Production Team overseeing the production in its entirety. I would like to end by giving thanks to all the cast, crew and anyone else who helped in any way during the production! It was definitely an experience of a lifetime!
